Look at our new video from the Serengeti of the small travel case.
- Stiff sides and soft corners - I designed it with a stiff bottom, front and sides (like me) to keep its form. I put on a soft back and top, so it'll take on character and be comfortable against your hip.
- Thick Full Grain leather ages with handsome patina - Not to be confused with inferior Top Grain, Genuine or Bonded leather, this is the toughest top layer of the cow's skin with all of the grain still there. The fine natural pores that receive the colors and oils, when touched, haven't been shaved or sanded off yet. That's why Full Grain leather gets more and more beautiful with age and the others don't.
- Industrial Marine-grade U.V. Resistant Polyester Thread - This thread is typically used for sails, tires, work boots, and other heavy-duty applications where extreme strength and durability is required. And we use the real thick version of it.
- Pigskin Lined - It's what they used to make footballs out of because of its high tensile strength. It's actually stronger than the leather it lines and it cleans up easily.
- Reinforced Stress Points - Wherever there's stress, there's a rivet. Wherever there's hardware, there's a solid strap of nylon between the pigskin and leather. Leather stretches, nylon doesn't.
- Leak and Explosion safe - Top rim of the case has an overhanging lip and side flap to keep things on the inside, on the inside.

- Dimensions: Measurements are from outer edge to outer edge. The stitching robs about 1/8" of space from the measurement.
Small 9"W x 5"D x 4 ½" H (22.9cm X12.7 cm X 11.4 cm)
Medium 10"W x 6"D x 5 ½"H (25.4 cm X 15.2 cm X 14 cm)
- Weight: Small - 2.4 pounds; Medium - 2.85 pounds
- Lining - Lined with pigskin, which has the 2nd toughest tensile strength rating of leathers. Kangaroo is the toughest.
- Leather - Made with 100% stout 4 to 5 oz (2.0mm to 2.2mm) thick Full Grain leather. Usually, cowboy and work boots are made with 1.8mm - 2.0mm thickness. Don't confuse Full Grain with inferior Top Grain, Genuine or Bonded leathers. Caution: If something "Made WITH Full Grain leather" is priced unbelievably low, don't believe it. Schlicksters use 90% vinyl or cheap leather and 10% full grain leather so they can technically say, "Made WITH full grain leather".
- Construction - Built with one solid chunk of leather in the form of a cross and then folded up and around to make this case. It'd be a lot cheaper to make this with a bunch of small scrap pieces, but if a bag is going to tear, but it's stuff like this that separates us from the masses.
- Thread - The double zero continuous-filament Polyester thread we use is a little thicker than what is used on most boots. This thread is impressive and expensive. Common thread is made of short little fibers wound together into one long thread. This thread is made of long continuous fibers that won't fall apart in a strong wind. Polyester thread is the only thread I know of that doesn't deteriorate with exposure to sun.
Which color should I get?
Pick the one that fits who you are. I've observed what the bag owners tend to be like based on the color they have chosen over the years. The category below that fits you best is probably the color you'll enjoy most. Also, to help you decide, you can take this test http://www.oneishy.com/personality/personality_test.php
You'll be amazed at how it helps you decide. Remember, your first inclination is usually the correct one.

Are the animals tortured before they are slaughtered?
Absolutely not! With some pigs we do use waterboarding and sensory deprivation techniques previous to slaughtering them, but the cows do not require any special handling.
Where can I see one of the wallets in person?
I don't have any of the items in stores and we're not big fans of folks coming to our home in San Antonio because of the weirdo factor. My sister, Patricia and her husband (my Chess and Scrabble nemesis), send out the leather from their place near Ft. Worth, Texas, but again, because of the weirdo factor they're not set up to show either. If it helps, everyone tells me that they look better in person.
