This wallet is beautiful and functional. I don't carry many cards (3 plus ID and drivers license), so the size of this one is actually perfect. I stick cash and change in the big pocket. I love the rivet closure (and the sound it makes when you close it ). Gorgeous leather on this one and now that mine is all broken in, it's nearly glossy (chestnut). I don't carry my phone in here (or any of my wallets) but it's great as a true wallet. Very happy with it and I've had mine for years.
I purchased a Small Clutch Wallet in Chestnut off Suzette's Steals to replace my damaged Bi-Fold wallet and as soon as I opened it and got a whiff of the leather, I fell in love! The Small Clutch Wallet is a beautiful, solid and cleanly-crafted piece that's actually a bit larger than I expected. It definitely has a unique design that is unlike any other wallet I've seen before, and I love how organized it keeps everything! Keep in mind that it does not have a billfold pocket, but I don't carry around much cash except for emergency money, which can be folded and tucked into the front pocket side. This wallet also doesn't have an RFID shield, but the good news is I've discovered that Saddleback's Credit Card/Business Card wallet fits into the front pocket, so your cards can stay secure with room to spare for cash and coins. My wallet had a bit of wrinkling on the back, which is why it was 20% off, but that didn't cost it any stars. I love the pigskin lining because it's easier to clean than suede lining, plus the brass rivets are extremely secure so I'm not worried about anything falling out.
The only reason I took a star off is because the description claims to have 4 credit card slots. Yes, technically, there ARE 4 slots - but actually, only 3 of the slots can store your cards comfortably & conveniently. The first, top-most slot (nearest to the leather tab) is not deep enough to fit a credit card. When I tried to fit a card in the top slot, it stuck out by like 1/8". So if you try to fill all 4 slots, not only do you have one card awkwardly sticking out, but due to the bulk, the leather tab can no longer be tucked in - so it just sticks out awkwardly too. I realized this is a design flaw of the wallet itself (not just my discounted wallet) because if you watch the video of Suzette explaining the wallet, you'll notice at the 1:00 mark that only the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th slots actually have cards in them. The solution would be to simply keep the first slot free, or use it to store something shorter (I use it to store a few stamps).
I can't wait to break this in! :)
I own this little gem in two colors - tobacco & chestnut. It fits into any of my EDC bags or for quick trips - this is all I need. No, it doesn't hold my iPhone 6. (Almost) For a quick trip to the corner store I leave the phone at home :) The 'pocket' holds the necessities; keys, lucky charm, gloss and cash.
