In the native language of Rwanda (Kinyarwandan) “Umuragi” means legacy and that is just what this bag was inspired to become. I designed this bag because I wanted something that I would never have to worry about falling apart. Since this Umuragi bag doesn’t use a single thread you’ll never have to worry about things coming undone.
I love that this bag has a modern, contemporary feel to it; it's a no fuss kind of bag. The two roomy interior side pockets do the job well to keep things organized. I also love the vegetable tanned leather. It gives this bag great structure and has a beautiful natural sheen. It’s the type of leather that’s made to be worn and broken in. Because it’s thicker, it will get scratches or indentations a little quicker than the usual leather we use, but I think it gives it more character.
How do I wear it? I use this purse for date nights or church when I want to dress up or I am looking to dress up my outfit a bit more. It’s a little large for a daily bag or to be worn crossbody, but great for the weekend or a night out. As always, the purchase of this bag helps love others in need through education, food, shelter & job training.
