I bought the entire set at once and I love them. Are they perfect? No. Are the awesome? ABSOLUTELY!!! The ink and paper contrast is perfect for reading. Fits perfectly in my back pocket. The paper is incredibly durable. At the end of the day, it's the words on the page that matter most and this little set up will last longer than me. I'm happy!
Who thought this was a good idea? This was marketed as something special and it is crap. It is like it was put together by a dolt child that can't read. Unbelievable that Dave Munson would let this out into the world. There is no quality here. Can't read the good words.
The first set I received found the names of the books on the outside cover on two of the three to the far left and one centered. I was told to return them and that they would check the replacements to ensure they were correct. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the pkg and found the now two were centered and one to the far left and the impression was so light it was barely readable..... Not sure what to do, take a chance on yet another set of replacements or just give in.... My concern is if I try and collect the whole set, how many times will I need to reorder until I get the order right?
2 out of the 3 books were found to not have the front lettering centered. The lettering is very hard to see and some of the pages are bound in a way where the beginning of some sentences are hard to read because there was little room left from the binding to the indent.
I really expected a little better quality control based on the price....
What a great idea to re-publish these Bible books! These are sized to be portable, so I can take them with me wherever I go. I love that the cover is SBL’s famous full-grain cowhide leather. I had opted for the Tobacco only because I’ve bought SBL's Travel Case (discontinued style in medium that has the extra leather holder in the lid) and the Love41 Koroha Purse in Tobacco, but they were out of Tobacco at the time of ordering. I ordered the DCB color and am totally pleased. Thanks for shipping so fast after Easter. The books were carefully wrapped in thick mil plastic and minimally packed into a small box. No hidden damages in-transit.
