• Thick Full Grain leather ages with handsome patina - Because this is the tough top layer of the cow, it has the fine natural pores to receive the colors and oils from being touched and used. That's why Full Grain leather gets more and more beautiful with age. Most other leathers have the top layer shaved or sanded off and painted. They look pretty, but don't age well.
• Multi-use Timeless Design - Gadget specific sleeves, pouches and cases end up in garage sales. 40 years from now, with your gadget hanging above the mantle, you'll still be using the pouch. Gadgets aren't timeless, this pouch is. Ideal for the following:
  • Fits iPad like a glove and gadgets up to the diameter of a large grapefruit
  • Keeping Power Supplies contained (the small gadget pouch holds an iPad's power supply and cord as if it were designed that way)

• Extremely Protective Impact Absorbing Design and Materials - The thick leather and 1/8" seams on each side create a tight air space between your gadget and the leather's edge. Therefore, if it's dropped on the edge, not only does the gadget have to slide slightly to the side, but the seam acts as a shock-absorbing buffer too. Since the bottom doesn't have a seam, there is a 3mm thick strip of Neoprene between the leather and pigskin for even more protective padding.
• Industrial Marine-grade U.V. Resistant Polyester Thread - This thread is typically used for sails, tires, work boots, and other heavy-duty applications where extreme strength and durability is required.
• 100% Thick Full Grain boot leather (but thicker) - Boots are normally made of 1.8mm - 2.0mm thick leather. This is 2.0mm - 2.2mm. The nice thing is that it will soften with use and be your favorite thing one day.
• Pigskin Lined - It's what they used to make footballs out of because of its high tensile strength. It lasts.

Dimensions: 8 ¾"w x 10 3/8"h ((22.2cm x 26.4cm) flat, but can fit a large grapefruit inside. All measurements are from outside edge to outside edge (Stitching robs 1/8" from each side, but leather can stretch quite a bit if you want it to).

Lining - Lined with pigskin, which has the 2nd toughest tensile strength rating of leathers. Kangaroo is the toughest.

Leather - Made with 100% stout 4 to 5 oz (2.0mm to 2.2mm) thick Full Grain leather. Usually, cowboy and work boots are made with 1.8mm - 2.0mm thickness. Please don't confuse Full Grain with the inferior Top Grain, Genuine or Bonded leathers. Caution: If something "Made WITH Full Grain leather" is priced unbelievably low, don't believe it. Schlicksters often use vinyl or cheap leather for most of the design and use full grain leather for only 10% of the rest of the bag, sofa or recliner. Isn't that interesting?

Construction - Made from one solid piece of Full Grain leather rather than several pieces. Seams are the weakest place and so the fewer the better. It would be much cheaper for us to make this with several smaller pieces, but it's the quality details such as this that separates us from the masses.

Thread - The double zero continuous-filament Polyester thread we use is a little thicker than what is used on most boots. This thread is impressive and expensive. Common thread is made of short little fibers wound together into one long thread. This thread is made of long continuous fibers that won't fall apart in a strong wind. Polyester thread is the only thread I know of that doesn't deteriorate with exposure to sun.

Are the animals tortured before they are slaughtered?

Absolutely not! With some pigs we do use waterboarding and sensory deprivation techniques previous to slaughtering them, but the cows do not require any special handling.

Where can I see one of the wallets in person?

I don't have any of the items in stores and we're not big fans of folks coming to our home in San Antonio because of the weirdo factor. My sister, Patricia and her husband (my Chess and Scrabble nemesis), send out the leather from their place near Ft. Worth, Texas, but again, because of the weirdo factor they're not set up to show either. If it helps, everyone tells me that they look better in person.
