A really cool bracelet. Clever design, and the Saddleback leather is, as always, excellent and very satisfying to a leatherphiliac(?) like me. It was slightly small for me initially, but all I had to do was to substitute two larger (key)rings, easily done, and now it fits beautifully. I already have two of them, different colors.
I've had the bracelet now for a few months and I love it. I think it looks best (I have the chestnut) with long sleeve shirts that have the sleeves rolled up a time or two. I get positive compliments on it all the time. With that said, I'm not a big guy - about 5'9", 150 lbs. I have two of the rivets connected to the outer holes and the other two rivets on the inner holes. I've had friends with larger wrists (i.e. just bigger guys in general) try it on and it did not fit as well for them.
So, smaller/skinnier guys or women, this is the bracelet for you. Men with medium/large wrists or women with large wrists may want to rethink it or try one on if possible.
I bought this bracelet for myself, an adult woman with very small 6" wrists. I fasten the bracelet in two of the outermost and 2 of the innermost pre-bored holes so that the bracelet has some movement, but will not slide over my hand. (It fit perfectly when it was fastened by 3 of the innermost holes, but that did not last long.) Also, I don't take my jewelry off, not even to shower. That being said, the pre-bored holes have stretched out. I thought the holes were too big when it arrived and, unfortunately, I have been proven right. I have woken many mornings to find the bracelet laying beside me rather than fastened on me. I had hoped that showering would have shrunk the leather and, thus, the holes. No such luck. This bracelet would be much better if the holes were bored smaller. I am contemplating super gluing the bracelet in place to avoid losing it.
On the upside, the quality of leather is just what I have come to expect from Saddleback. The chestnut color is still as true as the day it arrived. While it does show signs of wear, those signs are minimal (character lines) and no doubt the leather will last for years.
So my review is 1 star for the stretched out holes and 5 stars for the quality of leather, averaging 3.
When first released, I considered buying one of these, but waited for it to receive some reviews. Then all the reviewers claiming it was too small dissuaded me. However, upon purchasing a gift for someone else, I decided to buy one of these for the heck of it, having intended to stretch it a bit if it had been too small. But that was unnecessary, it fits fine now and if Saddleback's braided bracelet is any evidence, it should stretch over time anyway, simply from normal use. I should add that I measured my wrist to 7.5 inches. So either Saddleback responded to complaints by increasing the size, or the complaints were simply exaggerated to begin with (I tend to assume the latter considering my experience coincides with the listed measurements).
Regardless of anything else, it's a great product, and an affordable entry to the Saddleback collection. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's been on the fence about buying one.
The bracelet is much smaller than described. It the largest adjustment for the O-ring style, it does not fit my under 7-inch wrist, let alone the 7 3/4 inches in the item description. There are not pictures or description for what they mean by an "ID-style" bracelet, so I can only assume that the bracelet only reaches the 7 3/4 inch size in that setup, whatever it is. If you're a man or a larger woman, don't expect to be able to wear this bracelet as pictured if you have average-to-large sized wrists (for a man).
Let me start off by saying that this bracelet is extremely attractive and well constructed like all Saddleback products. The reason that I'm dinging it two stars is that it's too small for my wrist despite it being advertised as a unisex bracelet.
I'm an adult male with what I consider to be average-sized wrists. I can get the bracelet to fasten, but it is too small and digs into my skin. It would be fine for children and most women, but men should skip this unless they have freakishly tiny wrists.
I really like this product. It looks extremely well made. I would say it is a little small however I could be missing something when putting it on. When I put it on it is very awesome looking .
I love this bracelet and so did my boyfriend. I bought this for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift, but for some reason it does not fit his wrist. He is not a huge guy with extra large wrists or anything just an average guy size! I was shocked this bracelet was so small! I thought at first it was adjustable and we could make it fit, but even on the last notch available it was to small. I thought maybe that I clicked small instead of large when ordering it so I went back to check and turns out it only comes in this one small size. So be careful because I don't know of any man that could actually wear this...it barely fits on my wrist.
It is easily convertible from the O-ring style to ID bracelet style. I don't know which way I will tend to keep it yet, but regardless it will be an everyday item for me. I recommend it as a small gift for anybody ( men, women or children). As always, I ordered it in tobacco.
