Adjusting the leather grip

the long full leather grip, looks and touches beautiful but it is difficult or imposible to adjust the positioning of the cover .

I just cannot uncover the point of the pen.

I have an affinity for copper objects so when I saw this I had to have it. just got it in today and I am thoroughly impressed. it is a bit thinner than I thought it would be as I was thinking it would resemble the diameter of a traditional bic pen. you can tell the pen is handmade which gives it unbelievable character which I love. I went with the small leather writing grip in tobacco which looks really cool as well. this is an excellent compliment to my saddleback portfolio. the only concern I have at this point is that the pen does not fit snuggly into the portfolio pen holder slot and I am worried that there could be the chance it would accidently fall out. I am working a solution to this and it may just be to keep 2 pens or a pen and pencil in the slot so it is tighter. overall, fantastic pen!

Very cool

My two favorite working materials are copper and leather. So when I saw this I had to have it. No question that if cared for, this will last a lifetime. It works best as a desk piece as there is no cover and will undoubtedly ink up anything it comes in contact with, so unfortunately putting it in my briefcase will not work. Standard bic pen caps will not fit either, and besides a plastic cap would detract from the beauty of this pen anyways. I would pay extra to have a copper cap for this, I think one of my winter projects will be attempting to hammer one out, we shall see how this works.

Beautiful!

I just received my pen with the large cover in tobacco. This pen is truly a beautiful piece and will compliment my small notepad holder nicely. It's clearly evident that this pen is hand made and no two will be just alike. I can't wait wait to see how it looks after the copper has some time to patina. As far as the cover goes, there were a few comments saying the cover is overly tight. Mine fits nicely and is easily adjustable. If your even halfway considering this pen, you won't be disappointed.

Fancy copper pen

I purchased the fancy copper pen and am glad I did. I love how the pen feels in your hand and look forward to seeing how the tobacco leather sleeve patinas over time.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a 4th hole at the end, so that in the closed position, the copper 'pins' would slide into the last hole and the "new" hole. Currently in the closed position, one of the 'pins' sits in the last hole and the second 'pin' pushes against the leather sleeve.

I love it, I am happy that I bought the fancy copper pen. Full grain leather and hand made copper pen, what's not to love? I want to emphasize on the refills thought. The copper pen fits perfectly with the BIC round stic refills, which I couldn't find just the refills anywhere, but I just bought the BIC round stic pens and take out the refills and put it inside the copper pen, bam! It is perfect, the pen writes super smooth. The pen refill that came with the original copper pen kinda sucks though, so just replaced it with the BIC round stic refills and you won't regret.

I bought 2 pens. One as a gift and one to keep. Wow what a great decision. The gift was a hit and as for my pen, I really like the way the leather feels And the copper has some heft to it. This combination of leather and copper feels great in my hand when writing. Great product I strongly recommend this if you are considering buying one.
