I was hesitant at first about ordering this wallet; however, once it arrived in the mail, my mind was put at ease. I was not sure if I'd like the inner design of the wallet in light of how the cards lay. Upon receiving it in the mail, I immediately felt pleased with my decision to go with tobacco (I've only ordered products in dark coffee brown). The leather was soft yet stiff (can't wait to work it in) and it smelled great. The wallet holds everything I need it to: roughly 3-4 cards on each side and some cash. Looks like a keeper!
I would recommend this leather company to anyone. I own a 4-stitch belt, large Moleskine cover, thin briefcase, business card wallet, and an I.D. wallet. I thoroughly enjoyed the I.D. wallet that I bought back in the summer of 2012; however, it was the first time I tried something so minimalistic. This summer I've decided to go back to the bifold without compromise to the minimalist kind of style. This small bifold does the trick.
I'm glad I stumbled upon Saddleback while surfing the web some years back. If I need a leather product and Saddleback sells it, I know who's getting my business.

We use natural Markings Equal Inclusion of Exceptional Imperfection Ornamentation
"... Saddleback Leather no longer discriminates against any cow on the basis of age, appearance, lactose intolerance... if the beast has a natural marking or brand, or whether or not they worship the Divine Bovine."
Truth is, sometimes beauty is only skin deep... like with cows. Their poetry is notoriously terrible, but man, their hides are nature's art. We don't believe that flawlessness equals beauty. Beauty is when we're able to see something as it really is.
This is true with humans too. There are lots of quality people who are really beautiful not in spite of, but because of the marks life has given them.
So, in the morning, as we three, clean-cut smiley white guys emerged from the cheap hotel, everybody looked at us with suspicion.
But it was a morbidly interesting place with the relatively fresh bullet holes and anti-government messages of the rebels on the walls. Only a few years back, Ocosingo was the site of a major bloodbath where about 150 Zapatistas and Mexican soldiers were killed in a firefight, some found shot in the back of the head after surrendering. Tensions were still high. One could make an argument for it being the least touristy town on Earth. So, shortly after our silent breakfast, we headed out.
But the cool thing was, Ocosingo wasn’t far from where we wanted to be. The massive Mayan ruins of Palenque were breathtaking, and if you looked into the jungle you could see the majority of the ruins still unexcavated.
And then when we got to the jungle waterfalls of Las Cascadas de Agua Azul, we grabbed a vine, hacked it and used it as a rope swing into the river, tarzan style. The place was amazing as the clear blue river stepped down for miles creating a series of huge waterfalls. It was my original briefcase’s first big trip of many, but it easily could have been its last.
I have been using the front pocket wallet for awhile now. I like it but I wanted to try this bifold. I've carried a bifold most of my life and I prefer the look and feel. As others have pointed out, it's only a little larger than the front pocket wallet and the footprint in my front pocket looks and feels about the same. The leather was pliable when it arrived. The leather and stitching look great. I have five cards in each side and ten bills in the bill compartment. Everything fits with room to spare.
Obviously this is not the best size if you carry a lot of plastic and / or bills. On the other hand, if you want something more minimalist but prefer the bifold design over the front pocket style this is a great choice.
This was my second wallet after i bought ID (wonderful wallet) because i like cash more than cards.
After using it about 6 months i can only say PERFECT!
Fits in front pocket, not to bulky if you carry it in back pocket.
Holds great 5 cards and bout 20-25 bills. Euro bills of 5, 10, 20 fits great.
I only regret the fact that the wallet has no coin pouch, because in Europe the change is mostly in coins...
The chestnut color is amazing, and the smell still exist
Be sure that if you manage to add coin pocket in similar wallet that I will be the buyer 3rd time!
My wallet showed up yesterday, and boy, it's even nicer than I anticipated. It smells great and is very flexible right out of the gate. The stitching is just about perfect, and the size is perfect for my needs. I have about 4 cards on each of the sides, which fit nicely, and I could probably get a few more on each side if need be. The cash carrying section is perfect for a reasonable amount of bills. I'm pretty excited about this thing. I'm looking forward to the comments I get on it, and I can't wait to recommend you guys. Thanks for the great service (via the chat feature), and the quick shipping time. It even showed up a day earlier than expected!
SBL was recommended to me through /r/buyitforlife. I purchased the small black bifold wallet. It is a beautiful wallet with a simple design, that is functional and very durable, and works well for front pocket carry. The small bifold when closed is not much wider than the ID wallet, and just a hair thicker. Because I carry and frequently use cash, I prefer the small bifold over the ID wallet - even though the ID wallet has a cash pocket, I've found cash is much easier to keep in order and/or quickly stuff back into the small bifold. I would recommend this wallet, I already have.
