Father's Day Gift Guides & Free Monogramming

Hey there,

PLEASE be a blessing to dads and their kids this Father’s Day by telling us your great Dad Story of your husband or of your own dad. You never know who needs to read your story. And it’ll encourage the rest of us dads to be better dads to our kids. We all need good examples.

Maybe it’s a MacGyver moment, a hero time, a funny memory or maybe just a time when your dad really stepped up as a dad. It doesn’t have to be long. Just a sentence or two if you like. Here are two examples of what I’m thinking.

The Short Story:

One time my dad took me fishing and he sat down on a rock on the shore that had an ant bed under it. He danced around like a cat with his tail on fire and ended up in the lake slapping those ants off and he didn’t even cuss. I’m thankful that he took me fishing.

The Longer Story:

I remember this one time when I was real little, the four of us kids squeezed into our ‘56 Studebaker with mom and dad and went on a road trip from Oregon to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. I remember begging and pleading for Dad to let the car coast down hills to see how far it could go. A lot of times he’d let me sit on his lap and steer. That was so much fun. I remember on one of the road trips, it was late at night and I was sitting between Mom and Dad in the front seat and Dad pulled over and said that he couldn’t stay awake anymore. So, we pulled over at a rest area and then he leaned up against the window and tried to sleep for like 20 minutes or so and then we got going again. Next thing I knew, the sun was up and we weren’t far away from Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Dad taking us on all of those road trips really shaped us kids. I’m thankful for his adventurous and fun spirit.

Some of the best told stories will get a cool “Thank you” from me, but all of the stories will lift up and honor dads everywhere. Submit your dad story HERE.

Even I understand that some of the best gifts out there aren’t made of leather (though some are). Here are our 3 different gift idea lists for 3 different types of dads. The Professional Dad, the Tech Dad and the Outdoorsman Dad. Hope they help as you honor the dad in your life this Father’s Day.
